People choose infusions

Fast treatment for iron deficiency, delivered by experienced healthcare professionals in a comfortable setting.

Why choose an iron infusion

An iron infusion is a quick IV treatment that delivers iron directly into your bloodstream, making it faster and more effective than oral supplements. It can help restore energy, focus, and overall quality of life—often in just a single 30-minute treatment.

How it works

1
Referral & Bloodwork

Your doctor (or a physician at the on-site walk-in clinic) confirms iron deficiency with blood tests. If needed, your physician will order you the IV iron medication (Monoferric®). Script can be sent directly to your pharmacy, provided to you in person, or included in our optional Referral Form. Once done, you’re set to book.

3
Your infusion day

A registered nurse places a small IV in your arm, and your infusion takes about 30 minutes. You’ll be monitored during and after for comfort and safety.

No family doctor? No problem.

There is an on-site walk-in clinic that can help arrange bloodwork. Based on your bloodwork results, the physician may order you IV iron medication (Monoferric®). You must bring your medication (Monoferric®) to your infusion appointment. For your convenience, there is an on-site pharmacy where you can fill the Rx upon arrival.

Referral Form

Physicians may use this optional form to order Monoferric and refer patients for iron infusions. Completed forms can be faxed or emailed directly to ReGenIV.

$
Infusion Suite Fee
$200
  • This fee may be reimbursed by private insurance through Extended Benefits or Health Spending Account, depending on eligibility through your insurance provider.
  • This does not include the cost of the IV iron medication itself (Monoferric®). The cost of the iron medication may be covered by your private insurance. For eligible patients, it may also be covered by the Ontario Drug Benefit Program, Ontario Works, the Trillium Drug Program, or the Interim Federal Health Program (IFHP) for refugees. The cost of a 1g dose of Monoferric® is typically ~$540 if you are paying out-of-pocket.
